Coffee Capsule Filling and Sealing Machine: Structure and Principle

The coffee capsule filling and sealing machine has a fast filling speed and minimal size differences between capsules. Structure of the Coffee Capsule Filling and Sealing Machine

The coffee capsule filling and sealing machine consists of the empty capsule feeding device, capsule distribution device, powder feeding device, metering disc mechanism, capsule filling and sealing mechanism, main transmission mechanism inside the box, and electrical control system.

• Empty Capsule Feeding Device: Composed of a hopper and conveying pipeline, it mainly stores empty capsules and feeds them vertically into the capsule distribution device one by one.

• Capsule Distribution Device: The empty capsules enter the selected feeding fork of the distribution device. When the fork moves downward once, it will drop six capsules, with the capsule caps at the top. At the same time, the vacuum separation system moves the capsules into the module and separates the body and cap.

• Powder Feeding Device: Composed of a powder hopper, screw, and feeding conveyor pipe, it controls the powder storage and feeds it into the metering disc under the action of the screw and stirring.

• Metering Disc Mechanism: The metering disc size is matched to the capsule specifications and required filling amount. The powder is filled and compacted into a medicinal column within the intermittently rotating metering disc and then pushed into the lower module's capsule.

• Capsule Filling and Sealing Mechanism: After the medicinal column is pushed into the capsule body, the upper and lower modules push the capsule caps and lower capsule bodies upward to seal them.

• Main Transmission Mechanism Inside the Box: The motor, box-type intermittent rotation mechanism, gear pair, reducer, cam pair, and chain transmission mechanism inside the box provide the required power for execution. Meanwhile, the frequency converter motor enables frequency speed regulation.

• Electrical Control System: The PLC system controls and displays the process elements for each capsule filling.

Principle of the Coffee Capsule Filling and Sealing Machine

The main working principle of the coffee capsule filling and sealing machine is as follows: during operation, capsules from the capsule hopper are fed vertically into the first feed fork of the distribution device one by one. When the first feed fork moves downward, six capsules are dropped, with the capsule caps on top. In the first step, the vacuum separation system moves the capsules into the module and separates the body and cap. During the second step, the turntable rotates intermittently, and the upper capsule moves up and inward. In the fifth step, the filling rod pushes the compacted medicinal column into the lower module's capsule. The unsealed capsules are ejected in the eighth step. The upper and lower modules meet in the tenth step, and the lower capsule body is pushed upwards to seal it. In the eleventh step, the sealed finished capsules are pushed out for collection. In the twelfth step, a vacuum cleaner cleans the module before the next cycle begins. The medicinal column is compacted into shape after five fillings and compressions in the intermittently rotating metering disc.
